1. Hurricane Dean slammed into Mexico for the second time in as many days, screaming onto Emerald Coast this afternoon with winds reaching 100 miles per hour. Some 10,000 people have been evacuated from coastal cities.
2. The US military says a Black Hawk helicopter went down in northern Iraq, killing all 14 soldiers onboard. Officials say it was most likely a mechanical problem and not an enemy attack.
3. Floodwaters are still rising after this week's heavy downpours across parts of Ohio. Rescue workers have been using helicopters to pluck people from rooftops and take them to safety.
4. And more toy recalls have been announced for children's toys containing lead. Martin Designs' SpongeBob SquarePants address books and journals were sold nationwide from June of 2006 through July of this year for about $2.
