听力文稿 ( Transcript )
1. Nevada authorities are looking for this man. They believe he may be Chester Arthur Stiles, a registered sex offender and a person of interest in the search for a young girl. Authorities believe the child was only four or five years old when she was sexually assaulted on videotape and Stiles may be able to help identify her. The Associated Press does not generally identify victims of sexual assault but is doing so in hopes of her safe recovery.

2. President Bush is calling for an international fund to fight global warming. In an address today he said he still opposes the mandatory cuts in green house gases encouraged by European nations.

3. Myanmar's military government cut public Internet access. The regime is stepping up its crackdown on pro-democracy demonstrators, preventing demonstrators and journalists from getting information out of the country.

4. Animal Control officers in a Northern California town rescued a bear trapped underneath a bridge. The frightened bear jumped over the side of the bridge when cars approached. Animal Control in Truckee California tranquilized the bear and let it fall into a net. The bear woke up safe , sound and on the ground.
