    听力文稿 ( Transcript )
    1. Benazir Bhutto's 19-year-old son has been chosen to succeed her as chairman of her opposition party. Her husband will serve as co-chairman. But the country's ruling party says the January 8th elections may be postponed for up to four months.

    2. Hundreds of supporters including many children gathered at Saddam Hussein's graveside outside Tikrit and laid flowers. Exactly one year ago, the former dictator was hanged. Iraqi security forces are on high alert around Baghdad and in the Sunni heartland north of the capital.

    3. Police transcripts from a deadly tiger attack at the San Francisco Zoo are revealing a chaotic response by zookeepers. Logs show zoo workers thought the two men who reported the maulings might have been mentally disturbed. A 17-year-old was killed by the escaped tiger that was later shot and killed.

    4. Don't worry. It's only a test. Organizers in New York City were preparing the Times Square Ball a day before the big day. This year's ball features nearly 10,000 LED lights for energy efficiency.
