1. A 1-day-old(音是year-old,但应当是一天的新生儿，可能读错了) baby who was abducted from this Florida hospital has been recovered. The child was found about an hour after it was taken by police. Authorities say the baby appears to be in good condition.

2. Police in Virginia say drivers can rest easy now that they have arrested a suspect in a series of sniper shootings. 19-year-old Slade Allen Woodson was apprehended this morning. Two people were injured in the shootings.

3. President Bush says Iraq’s military operations in Basra are a good test for the country. Militias have been waging a street war there with Iraqi forces and Bush says the battle is a defining moment in the history of Iraq.
