1.   A judge has found 3 New York Police detectives not guilty in the shooting death of an unarmed man. The officers shot Sean Bell 50 times just hours before his wedding. Rev. Al Sharpton has called for a federal investigation.

2.   An eight-mile stretch of a beach in San Diego, California is closed following a deadly shark attack. Officials say a 66-year-old man died after a shark bit him while he was swimming.
