2. The Batman Ride at Six Flags Over Georgia remains closed the day after a teenager was killed. Park officials say the 17-year-old climbed two fences to retrieve his hat and was decapitated by the roller coaster.

3. A 20-year-old model who once graced the cover of European Vogue plunged to her death in Manhattan. Published reports say the fall was a case of suicide.

4. Some of the NBA's biggest stars are getting ready to try for Olympic glory. The USA basketball team tried on their uniforms, began practice in Las Vegas. The games will be held in Beijing in August.
